Everything Is “Normal” So Why Don’t You Feel Well?

One of my clients came to me after seeing multiple gastrointestinal doctors and going through colonoscopies and endoscopies trying to figure out why she was still experiencing digestive issues. She had been told everything looked normal, but she still had symptoms and knew something wasn’t right.

She came to me thinking her nutrition might be the problem. We reviewed her food choices, stress, sleep, hydration, and lifestyle, and honestly, her nutrition looked really good. She was eating whole foods and balanced meals and was doing many of the things I normally recommend, yet she was still experiencing significant symptoms.

Situations like this are exactly why I sometimes recommend advanced stool testing like the GI-MAP. Sometimes it’s not just what you’re eating — it’s what’s happening inside the digestive system.

She decided to move forward with the GI-MAP test, and the results showed that she was positive for C. difficile, a bacterial infection that can cause inflammation and ongoing digestive distress. This helped explain why she was still experiencing symptoms even though she was eating well and taking care of herself. Once we had that information, we were able to create a targeted protocol to support her gut, and her symptoms began to improve.

The GI-MAP is an advanced stool test that evaluates digestion, gut bacteria balance, inflammation, immune activity in the gut, and the health of the gut lining. This type of testing helps us understand how the digestive system is functioning and whether imbalances in the gut may be contributing to symptoms like bloating, reflux, constipation, diarrhea, fatigue, skin issues, hormone imbalance, or inflammation.

I’ve seen many clients gain clarity through this type of testing, and sometimes that clarity becomes the turning point in their health. One client shared this in a Google review:

“I had been experiencing intestinal issues for many years, and over time my symptoms became so severe I was hesitant to leave my home. After working with Regina and completing gut testing and a metabolic reset program, I feel like a different person. I am no longer in pain, I have more energy, I’m sleeping better, and I’ve even lost 15 pounds. Regina has been incredibly supportive, knowledgeable, and always available when I had questions. I am so grateful I found her.”

I am not a medical doctor, and I do not diagnose or treat medical conditions. What I do is help individuals look at their health from a broader perspective — nutrition, lifestyle, stress, sleep, digestion, hormones, and metabolism — and identify areas where the body may need support. Advanced lab testing is simply one tool that can help us better understand what may be happening inside the body and where we may have opportunities to support healing.

If you’ve been experiencing ongoing digestive issues, fatigue, hormone imbalance, inflammation, or weight resistance and feel like something may be missing, it may be helpful to take a deeper look at how the body is functioning.
